Tenets of Faith

We Believe the Bible is a holy, infallible book inspired by God to reveal to us His blueprint of how we should conduct ourselves and his rules of faith. II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21

We Believe there is only one God, existing forever in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is the Son in Jesus, who came down to earth, was born of a virgin, died on the cross for us, rose from the dead, and returned again to heaven. I Corinthians 8:4-8; I Kings 8:60

We Believe all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that salvation is through repentance for sins and through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23-26; Romans 10:8-17

We Believe Jesus has commanded that we tell everyone on earth that He died for them. Those who accept the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ will spend eternity in heaven with Him: those who do not accept Him will spend eternity in hell. Mark 16:15-16

We Believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4 is granted to believers who ask for it. It is through the present indwelling of the Holy Spirit that the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life and is given the power to be a witness. Acts 1:8; Luke 24:48-53

We Believe water baptism is symbolic of the death of our sinful nature and the beginning of the newness of life through Jesus Christ. We believe in taking communion in memory of Christ's death on the cross for our redemption. We honor holy matrimony in the manner that God has intended and we dedicate and bless infants and small children for service back to God.

We Believe the healing virtue of Christ was granted by the lashes he received on the cross at Calvary and with those stripes by faith, we are made whole in answer to believing prayer.

We Believe in bringing our offering and tithes into the storehouse to help further the kingdom of God in the hearts of men.

We Believe the Lord shall descend from heaven and the dead in Christ shall be the first to rise and those that remain shall be caught up together with him in the sky to be with him forever. I Thessalonians 4:13-18; I Corinthians 15:51-58

We Believe believers must live a lifestyle of holiness, demonstrating the compassion of Christ to all they encounter. Believers must also live a lifestyle of love, demonstrating the compassion of Christ to all they encounter.

Our Story

53 years and counting of God’s Grace and Deliverance

Moments of Blessings House of Prayer Church #2 (later renamed Moments of Blessings Church of Fresno) was birthed almost 53 years ago in a home on the west side of Fresno, California. A small group of people began to assemble on a regular basis to share and affirm one another in their spiritual and moral beliefs. As the group began to increase in size, they looked for a place to worship. After much searching, in July of 1976, one of our members happened upon a little church located at 922 S. Chance Avenue (formerly Eastgate Church of God) in the city’s southeast corridor.

Along with the new location, came the responsibility of meeting the needs of those around us. To meet the demands of our community, the Moments of Blessings Church of Fresno embarked on a new partnership with the Community Food Bank, as a distribution site to provide food and other necessities to our neighbors in need. Recognizing the need to feed our children during the summer, the church began a summer lunch program for neighborhood children, there are youth outreach programs, a Prison Ministry, and a women's program (WIN-Women in Need) that targets all women from every walk of life as well as a Men's outreach. Realizing that charity begins at home and then spreads abroad, Moments of Blessings Church also supports the Equator Faith Mission, which provides mission trips and outreach to Haiti, Jamaica, the West Indies, and parts of Africa.

In 2011, the Moments of Blessings Church relocated to our new north campus location at 378 W. Fallbrook Avenue in the Riverpark area of Fresno. The Lord has increased our territory and we are bringing the ministry of deliverance, hope, restoration, and holiness to a new generation.
